Metallica to begin residency in Las Vegas in October

Las Vegas is preparing for a busy musical autumn season. In October, the band Metallica will begin its residency, becoming the first heavy metal group to perform at Sphere, previously known for the Backstreet Boys residency.

Before Metallica, country artists Carly Pearce and Lauren Alaina will take the stage on September 26 as part of the Downtown Rocks event, which will take place under the largest video canopy on Fremont Street. From October 16 to 31, R&B and soul legends Earth, Wind & Fire will perform at the Venetian Resort. At the end of October, Nelly and Lil Jon will host an outdoor hip-hop evening on the Colorado River at the Laughlin Event Center.
