Matt and Abby Howard discuss challenges after the birth of their son

Influencers Matt and Abby Howard admitted that they have struggled to connect after the birth of their son Fisher, who was born in August. In a new episode of their podcast «Unplanned», - released on September 23, Matt, 27, noted that they feel more connected than before, but the first experience after childbirth was challenging, and the second was even more difficult due to unexpected challenges and disagreements.

Matt shared that sometimes he and Abby wake up at night and feel like «ships passing each other». Abby, also 27, added that during the night they often do not talk and do not argue during feedings. She noted that they are currently in a «neighbor stage», - where their interactions are limited to practical tasks, but this also creates a special bond as they work as a team.

Abby emphasized that her main focus is on the children, but she tries to remember that she is doing this alongside someone she deeply loves. She is confident that after the first six weeks, they will be able to find ways to pay attention to their marriage. Matt added that, despite their son Fisher being the «third wheel» on a recent date, that time helped them reconnect after childbirth.
