Miranda Kerr shared insights on how her divorce from Orlando Bloom affected her mental health. In the podcast «The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show», - which aired on September 24, Kerr revealed that this period was one of the most challenging times in her life. She and Bloom, who married in July 2010 and welcomed their son Flynn in January 2011, announced their separation in October 2013.
Kerr noted that the divorce was an emotionally difficult experience for her. «After our separation, I went through a bit of a depression», - she admitted. According to her, it was strange, as she had always considered herself a happy person. Kerr also explained that realizing her life with Bloom had not worked out was a significant challenge for her, but she was confident it was the right decision.
The model emphasized that she and Bloom remain close friends and prioritize their son’s interests. Kerr expressed hope that their example could inspire other parents facing co-parenting after a breakup.
To cope with emotional difficulties, Kerr began practicing meditation and yoga. She noted that it was important to allow herself to feel and process her emotions rather than trying to fix everything immediately. «Taking the time to forgive and let go became a key step for me», - she added.
Since the divorce, Kerr married Evan Spiegel in May 2017, and they have three sons. Bloom, for his part, is raising his daughter Daisy from his relationship with Katy Perry.
