Molly Ringwald, the famous actress from the '80s, has begun collaborating with Pfizer and the VaxAssist platform to raise awareness about pneumococcal pneumonia. She urges Generation X not to forget about their health and to visit doctors regularly.

Ringwald, who is 58 years old, noted that after the age of 50, the risk of contracting pneumococcal pneumonia increases sixfold. In an interview with Us, she emphasized the importance of vaccination, stating, «I felt that as a symbol of Generation X, it would be a good idea to use my platform to let others know that this vaccine is available and can save lives».

The actress also shares candid health conversations with her children, including her 22-year-old daughter Matilda and 17-year-old twins Adele and Roman. She believes it is important to discuss topics such as vaccination and sun protection, stressing that the health and future of her children are just as important as her own.

In the near future, Ringwald will appear in the Paramount+ series «Yellowjackets», - where she will play the mother of the character Van Palmer. She noted that her character, Vicki, is much more «flawed» than previous roles she has played.

Additionally, the actress is working on a memoir titled «Paris Years», - in which she will recount her time in France at the age of 20, and she plans to pursue directing after completing the book.
