Morgan Wallen was arrested after allegedly throwing a chair from the roof of a bar in Nashville

Morgan Wallen, according to reports, was arrested in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday, April 7. The 30-year-old country music star was involved in an incident that occurred at Eric Church’s bar, where Wallen reportedly threw a chair from the roof of the bar.

News Channel 5 reported that the singer of the song «Wasted on You» was charged with three felonies for reckless behavior. His bail was set at $ 15,250, according to the publication. He was also charged with disorderly conduct, and was released on bail. His court hearing is scheduled for May 3, the same day he is supposed to be at Nissan Stadium in Nashville as part of his tour.

Local police were standing in front of the scene of the incident, Chief’s bar on Broadway, and the chair was thrown just a few feet from them. Staff at the venue told police that Wallen was the one who threw the chair from the sixth floor.

According to the arrest report obtained by the news outlet, video footage showed Wallen «throwing an object over the roof». Witnesses claimed he was laughing afterwards.

Wallen’s lawyer released a statement to the publication, stating: «At 10:53 pm on Sunday night, Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless and disorderly conduct. He is fully cooperating with authorities».

Wallen’s arrest occurred during the CMT Music Awards 2024 ceremony, where he was nominated for Male Video of the Year. Wallen did not attend the annual event, and he lost the award to Jelly Roll.

This is not the first time Wallen has faced problems. In 2021, a video surfaced online showing him using a racist slur, and his music was subsequently removed from several radio stations. After the video became popular on social media, Wallen apologized
