MrBeast is suing over allegations of safety violations

Recently, MrBeast (real name: Jimmy Donaldson) faced a proposed class action lawsuit regarding his reality show. Several participants are suing the production company of the YouTube creator and Amazon on multiple charges. Some of them include creating an unsafe work environment and sexual harassment.

The production company of MrBeast was named as a defendant in the lawsuit filed by several participants of Beast Games, according to CNN. The lawsuit was filed on September 16, 2024, in a Los Angeles court. Court documents reportedly claimed that «the production companies of MrBeast and Amazon ruthlessly exploited the labor of approximately [edited] people who participated».
Unnamed plaintiffs claimed in the lawsuit that they were subjected to «unreasonable, unsafe, and illegal working conditions» on the show, which ultimately led to «several» participants being hospitalized, CNN reports. The plaintiffs also claimed that they were fed «sporadically and meagerly» and were not provided with «adequate access to hygiene products or medical assistance».
«Female participants in particular and collectively suffered as a result of the defendants' actions», - the court documents stated. «The Beast Game work environment systematically fostered a culture of misogyny and sexism».
Most of the allegations of sexual harassment, according to reports, were edited out of the court document.
Earlier this year, The New York Times reported that unidentified participants of MrBeast’s show were subjected to dangerous conditions. Some players received medical attention after feeling unwell or losing consciousness.
MrBeast has not publicly commented on the allegations against the reality show. However, a representative of the YouTube creator told The Times in a statement that the dangerous production in question «unfortunately, was complicated by the CrowdStrike incident, extreme weather, and other unexpected logistical and communication issues»
