Sollecito remained friends with Knox after their acquittal. During a previous interview with ABC, the Italian recalled seeing Knox for the first time after being released from prison.
«After she hugged me, I realized that Amanda was the same Amanda I had dated that week», - Sollecito said, according to the BBC. «She's not the Amanda who was a ghost for those four years [in prison]».
