Robert Redford passed away in September 2025 at the age of 89, but his legacy will continue among his family. The late star of the film «Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid» left behind adult children and grandchildren, many of whom publicly honored the memory of their late grandfather.

Robert had four children with his first wife, Lola Van Wagenen: Scott, David James, Shauna, and Amy Redford. Their firstborn, Scott, passed away when he was just 2 and a half months old from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS): when an infant, usually in the first year of life, suddenly dies.
David James, who also went by James Redford, passed away in 2020 from bile duct cancer. He was 58 years old. By the end of his life, Robert’s daughters, Shauna and Amy, were the only surviving children.
Robert has a total of seven grandchildren.
Robert’s daughter Shauna and her husband, Eric Schlosser, welcomed their first child, daughter Anna Michaela «Mika» Redford Schlosser, in January 1991. Later, Mika continued her education, studying history at Middlebury College in Vermont. She then obtained a master’s degree in history from the University of Oxford and a master’s degree in design from Central Saint Martins.
Conor — Shauna and Eric’s son, was born in July 1992, according to The New York Times. In 2015, he graduated from Colby College in Maine, where Robert gave a speech at the graduation ceremony, according to the Sun Journal. Since 2021, Conor has been working as a producer in New York for RadicalMedia studio, and he previously worked at the Sundance Institute, according to his LinkedIn.
Dylan — James and Kyle Redford’s firstborn. He was born in October 1991 and was diagnosed with dyslexia when he was in the third grade, according to the Marin Independent Journal. In 2012, his late father, James, made a documentary film «The Big Picture», - which showed Dylan’s time in college.
In 2015, Dylan graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in studio art. Following in Robert’s footsteps, Dylan became a film director and currently lives in California.
