Together with Ken (Ryan Gosling), Barbie ventures into the real world to help the girl cope with her feelings.
Fourth place goes to «The Northman» (2022), which tells the story of Prince Amleth’s (Alexander Skarsgård) quest for revenge against his uncle Fjölnir (Claes Bang), who killed his father. Directed by Robert Eggers, the film is based on a Viking legend and is noted for its impressive visuals and craftsmanship.
In third place is «Beau Is Afraid» (2023) by Ari Aster, in which the main character Beau (Joaquin Phoenix) grapples with paranoia and anxiety while trying to reach his mother. The film combines elements of dark comedy and absurd fantasy, exploring complex themes.
Second place is taken by «Undine» (2020), a modern interpretation of the myth of the water nymph who transforms into a human when she falls in love. Directed by Christian Petzold, the film blends romance and magical realism.
Leading the ranking is «The Green Knight» (2021) by David Lowery, based on Arthurian legend. The film tells the story of Gawain (Dev Patel), who accepts the challenge of the mysterious Green Knight and embarks on a dangerous journey to fulfill a promise made to him.
