Franchise executive producer Marianne Maddalena told Mark Malkin of Variety that production on «Scream 8» could begin in the fall of 2026, although sources have indicated that it is too early to determine a start date for filming.
However, if filming begins this fall, «Scream 8» could be released in late 2027. Filming for «Scream 7» began in January 2025, and the film hit theaters a year later.
