Lauren Sanchez’s trip to Washington wouldn’t have been complete without a stunning outfit. The former journalist joined her fiancé Jeff Bezos at the White House for a state dinner on April 10.
Lauren, 54, chose a fiery red dress from Rasario with a deep neckline adorned with lace. She completed her look, created by Kelly Johnson, with a pair of Gianvito Rossi Flavia shoes.
Hairstylist Olivia Halpin styled Lauren’s hair and hinted at a short haircut on Instagram Stories, writing: «We did something». The final style allowed fashion enthusiasts to see Lauren’s diamond earrings.
«How it all started… how it all ended», - Lauren wrote on Instagram on April 10, showing off her outfit. «Such a beautiful evening in Washington. Can’t wait to show you more tomorrow».
The formal event was in honor of the official state visit of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
Among those present were Robert De Niro and his girlfriend Tiffany Che, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and Japanese-American Olympic medalists Kristi Yamaguchi, Alex Shibutani, and Maia Shibutani.
Jeff, 60, and Lauren have been together since 2019. The couple got engaged after four years and are currently planning their dream wedding.
In a rare interview with The Wall Street Journal, Lauren gave insight into what makes her relationship with Amazon founder successful.
«It's the most wonderful experience I’ve ever had», - she shared in January 2023. «I've always had a career very different from my partner’s career. We love being together and working together. He helps me with my book. He’s getting his pilot’s license. We fly together. We work out together. We’re always together».
Although both Lauren and Jeff have children from previous relationships, they have found a way to create a happy, united family.
«On regular Saturdays, we just have fun, have dinner with the kids, which is always fun because you never know where the conversation will lead with so many kids», - she said. «We're a real blended family, like the Bradys!»
As for what Jeff values most in his partner, it’s her generosity.
