Nican grew up in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, with a love for video games and competitive sports. He also played a leading role as a social media influencer in the gaming series Toronto Maple Leafs (TML) FaZe Off, featuring members of the famous hockey team Toronto Maple Leafs. As a host and player, Nican brought his camera charisma and a huge number of social media followers to the project, significantly contributing to its success.
