Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2024: The hosts of the show will be the characters from the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants

The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2024 ceremony will not have celebrity hosts. Instead, the network announced that the entire show will be hosted by two famous animated characters: SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke). Since their show, SpongeBob SquarePants, takes place underwater, this year’s KCAs will be held in Bikini Bottom.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the broadcast will air on TeenNick, Nicktoon, and Nick Jr., and will be «presented in an animated setting with enhanced graphics and expanded augmented reality». The show is scheduled for July 13 at 8:00 PM Eastern/Pacific time.
The popular cartoon is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Nickelodeon. The premiere took place in July 1999.

To have the opportunity to play Patrick, who still makes me laugh, among my wonderful colleagues and brilliant creative team is a priceless gift».
According to the network, this is the first time animated characters will host a long broadcast. However, this is not the first time SpongeBob or Patrick have hosted a live broadcast. In February, Tom and Bill teamed up to host the Nickelodeon Super Bowl broadcast, voicing SpongeBob and Patrick.
