The awards season has begun, and the first in 2025 will be the «Golden Globes»! This year, the annual event will be hosted by 40-year-old comedian Nikki Glaser. In a statement published on the «Golden Globes» website, she said: «I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Golden Globes. It’s one of my favorite television nights, and now I’ll have a front-row seat (actually, I think I’ll have to host the show from the stage)».
As stated on the website, Glaser added: «'The Golden Globes' is not only a huge night for television and film, but also for comedy. It’s one of the few moments when show business not only allows, but encourages loving mockery of itself (at least, I hope so). It’s an exciting but challenging job because it’s live, unpredictable, and in front of the biggest Hollywood stars (who may be drunk, sitting next to their recent exes)».
She continued: «Some of my favorite jokes of all time have come from past Golden Globes opening monologues, when Tina, Amy, or Ricky said exactly what we all didn’t know we needed to hear. I just hope to continue this long tradition (which may also lead to my cancellation). It really is a dream job»
