Nikki Glaser apologized to Brielle Adams-Whitley, a transgender influencer born without limbs, after making her the subject of a «stupid» joke during a comedy show. Adams-Whitley, 27, shared a screenshot on Instagram Stories of a message from a fan who informed her about Glaser’s joke, which was made on stage in Ridgefield, Washington, over the weekend.
The fan asked Adams-Whitley if she knew she had become the topic of Glaser’s current performance. He noted that he did not like the jokes and advised her to be aware. Adams-Whitley responded with concern, asking what exactly was said about her. According to the fan, Glaser, 42, initially complimented Adams-Whitley but then joked that she had a «hard life without limbs, but she still decided to transition». Glaser also allegedly added that Adams-Whitley «had to» transition because she «erased [her] penis while crawling around the room».
Adams-Whitley tagged Glaser in her post and asked why she was making comments about what she has or does not have in her pants. She also mentioned that she had bought tickets to Glaser’s show in November but was now reconsidering her plans.
A few hours later, Adams-Whitley posted another screenshot of a message from Glaser herself. In it, Glaser expressed regret that the information reached Adams-Whitley in that way and noted that she never intended to hurt her. She added that it was not an accurate depiction of the joke but understood that it was still unpleasant to hear. Glaser emphasized that she hates outdated jokes and finds it disgusting to think that she could contribute to that rhetoric.
