Nina Dobrev shared her health status after the operation due to an accident on an electric scooter through a post on Instagram on Wednesday, June 5th. «The operation was successful… Thank you to everyone who sent kind messages, thoughts, prayers, and good vibes. The «Vampire Diaries» actress added post-operative photos, explaining how she prepared for the surgery. Although she underwent the procedure, she shared in her Stories: «Anyone else scared before surgery? I’m such a child when it comes to needles, blood, or any procedures», - next to a photo of her frowning and giving a thumbs down.
«I had to take another photo of my leg — unblemished — before it is covered with scars», - the actress named the Story, in which she shows her leg in a hospital gown, socks, and a mesh cap.
She also faced a surprising moment when she had to mark the limbs that would be operated on. In a clip where Nina drew an 'x' over her ankle with 'yes' written above it, posted in her Stories, it was written: «Interesting fact: you have to draw on the limb that will be operated on to confirm that it is the correct limb… (because apparently, in the past, some surgeons accidentally operated on the wrong limb) Horrible!»
Nina announced her electric scooter accident on May 20 with a post on Instagram with photos before and after, captioned «how it started vs. how it’s going».
After this post, she shared a photo report on how her life has been since the accident. Recovery photos showed Nina with a mask on her face and a cast on her leg, hugging her dogs in bed, various photos at appointments, and videos of her boyfriend and Olympic surfing champion, Shaun White, cheering her up with dances.
