Nominees and favorites for the 2024 ESPYs award: Clark, Gauff, Mahomes and others

The ESPYs ceremony, which comes every summer, has returned once again to celebrate the world of sports, particularly honoring athletes in it.
With today’s morning announcement of nominees in all categories, Indiana Fever defender Caitlyn Clark, 22, stands out with three nominations: Best Athlete, Female Sports; Best Record Performance; and Best Female College Athlete, reflecting her outstanding career in Iowa.
In addition, 20-year-old Coco Gauff, an American tennis player with career high rankings, receives her first ESPYs nomination.
Gauff, a resident of Delray Beach, is nominated in the category 'Best Athlete, Female Sports' alongside golfer Nelly Korda and two-time nominee A’ja Wilson, center for the two-time WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces. Clark and Korda also receive their first nominations.
Patrick Mahomes, last year’s winner in the categories of Best Athlete, Male Sports and Best NFL Player, again secures nominations in both categories. His Kansas City Chiefs are nominated for Best Team, alongside the recently crowned NBA champions, the Boston Celtics.
Under the leadership of Serena Williams, «ESPYs 2024» will be broadcast live on Thursday, July 11, at 8:00 pm Eastern and Pacific time on ABC from Los Angeles
