Lexi Minitree, originally from Georgia and a theater actress, a graduate of the University of Southern California with majors in public relations and theater, will be our young Elle Woods, according to a video posted on Instagram by executive producer Reese Witherspoon and Lexi’s accounts on Valentine’s Day 2025. «Let me introduce you to the new Elle Woods!» Reese wrote in the caption on social media on Friday. «After watching so many incredible auditions for the new prequel series about Elle on @PrimeVideo, we finally found our Elle. And today I announced it myself! Meet @leximinetree». In the clip, Reese brought Lexi to share the news that she was chosen for the role of Elle. Lexi, who already has 21k followers on her Instagram account, almost cried with joy and asked if they could call her mom.
«I!!! Yes:)», she wrote in part of the clip. «Okay, okay, okay, my brain is going crazy here, I don’t even know where to start. Maybe with gratitude… yes, that’s a good place to start usually, good thought, Lexi! Thank you to my family, friends, and agents who believe in me and my silly dreams».

«Elle», which will be produced through Reese’s production company Hello Sunshine, will be streamed on Prime Video, which will distribute the series.
