Disney has started working on «Freaky Friday 2», according to a report by Variety in May 2023! The publication reported that after two decades, Jamie Lee and Lindsay will return to their original roles, with the script being created by Eliz Hollander. Nearly a year later, Lindsay confirmed the news during an interview on Andy Cohen’s show on SiriusXM in March 2024. When asked if the project had been approved, Lindsay replied, «Yes.
