The upcoming project is described as a «faithful adaptation» of each of J.K. Rowling’s seven Harry Potter books, with plans for the show to span a decade. It’s unclear whether this means they plan for 10 seasons, which seems ambitious, or a 10-year term of service, which doesn’t make sense, as the books follow Harry from age 11 to 17. «Each season will be authentic to the original books and will bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic, and beloved films will remain at the heart of the franchise and will be available for viewing worldwide», - the HBO announcement said.
