In the 2003 sequel, Elle continues her career in Washington, D.C., to ban animal testing. While working in Washington, she faces tough and judgmental congressmen and lawyers who mock Elle for her fashion sense and demeanor.
The spin-off released on video, «Legally Blondes», - came out in 2009 and starred twins Milly and Becky Rosso, who played Elle’s younger cousins. Reese did not appear in the film. In 2017, a musical adaptation of «Legally Blonde» premiered on Broadway.
The third «Legally Blonde» film was announced in 2020, with writers Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor attached. However, the project has been postponed, and fans have not received any updates.
