The show «The Bachelorette» has finally chosen its leading lady for the 22nd season: Taylor Frankie Paul from «Secret Lives of Mormon Wives». Hulu has already announced that the 3rd season of «Mormon Wives» will premiere on November 13, 2025, but Disney has postponed the new season of «The Bachelorette» to a future date. So when will it premiere?
Taylor told Us Weekly about her new reality show, admitting that she is stepping out of her «comfort zone» by joining Bachelor Nation.
«What I am most looking forward to is meeting some people who are outside of my world, and even if there is a couple, that’s okay, but I’m just excited to hear different perspectives and new sides of my personality», - explained the Hulu star, adding: «[But] it’s outside of my comfort zone, so obviously it’s scary».
Briefly touching on her past scandals — from the «soft swing» scandal with ex-husband Tate Paul to her arrest in 2023 — Taylor explained that she has had «a lot of lessons, for better or worse».
In 2023, Taylor was arrested and detained for death threats, two cases of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse with injury, and disorderly conduct after a scuffle with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. In August, she pleaded guilty to the death threat, and other charges were dismissed with prejudice. She then made a deal.
«And I think that makes you wiser and more aware — or at least self-aware», - explained the new leading lady to the publication. «I can’t say that I will never make mistakes again. We are human. We always will. But it’s about learning, growing, and then having the tools to navigate the next».
Neither the exact release date of the 22nd season nor the time of publication have been announced, but «The Bachelorette» will return somewhere in 2026.
Disney did not explain the reason for the delay of the next season of «The Bachelorette», but the star of the 21st season, Jenn Tran, shared her theory about the delay with People.
«Usually 'The Bachelorette' airs in the summer when people are traveling — I heard it’s not as good as 'The Bachelor'», - she said in February 2025. «So maybe this will give the next leading lady a chance to air at a time when there will be more visibility. That would be good».
