Will Cain is ready to take over Neil Cavuto’s spot, who recently left Fox News after 28 years with the conservative network. According to The Hill, the host will receive his own show called The Will Cain Show, replacing Cavuto’s coveted time slot at 4:00. The co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend will debut his own show on January 21, 2025, according to the publication. According to the network, it will be a «comprehensive review of the day’s news in podcast style».

While Cain prepares to replace Cavuto, here are five things to know about him.

According to his Wikipedia page, Cain played water polo for a year at Pepperdine University, where he scored only one goal and once praised the team for being so tolerant of his inexperience. He was a walk-on player, and his only goal was scored back in 1996.

«Water polo at Pepperdine was very tolerant in developing a walk-on like me, and that’s something unique about this program», - he said, referring to the Pepperdine Waves. «I almost went to USC, and I’m sure if I had started my water polo career there, it would have been much shorter».

The Will Cain Show will debut on Tuesday, January 21.

Cain was born on March 28, 1975 in Sherman, Texas, near Dallas. After studying at Pepperdine in Malibu and earning a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, he returned to Texas to earn a law degree from the University of Texas.

Since March 2015, Cain has been a contributor at ESPN. He hosted The Will Cain Show on ESPN Radio and appeared on First Take. He also hosted Will and Kate with Kate Fagan and was a contributor on Outside the Lines.

Cain is known as a conservative voice on the sports network. «Has my conservative viewpoint helped me since I’ve been here? Of course», - he said in 2018, referring to the Washington Post. «ESPN doesn’t have a voice like mine».

Cain is married to his wife Kathleen Cain. They have two children.

As he moves forward with his new show, he has the support of at least one influential politician. «Will Cain, our friend from Fox & Friends (Weekend), will do great with his new show», - Trump wrote via Truth Social on January 11. «He has everything he needs for success. Good luck, Will!»
