Accuser of JAY-Z admitted her allegations were false

A woman who accused JAY-Z of sexual assault has admitted that her claims are «false». In a statement filed in court and obtained by the publication «Extra», - she asserts, «Sean 'JAY-Z' Carter never raped me. I have never met or spoken to Mr. Carter. Mr. Carter has never engaged in any inappropriate behavior towards me».
She added, «My accusations against Mr. Carter and Mr. Combs that they raped me in the presence of a third celebrity are false. There is no truth to my accusations against Mr. Carter. I understand that my false accusations have caused Mr. Carter great pain, suffering, and damage that can never be fully repaired».
Carter had previously vehemently denied the allegations. Last year, a rape lawsuit against JAY-Z was dismissed. A notice of voluntary dismissal was filed by the accuser’s attorneys, Tony Buzbee and Antigone Kouris, in New York on Friday.
JAY-Z called the decision a «victory» in a statement posted on Roc Nation’s account on X, noting that «the nonsensical, fabricated, and horrific allegations have been dismissed. This civil suit had no merit and went nowhere. The fictional story they created was ridiculous, not to mention the seriousness of the allegations. I would not wish this experience on anyone. The trauma that I, my wife, my children, and loved ones have endured can never be ignored».
He also added, «This 1−800 lawyer can file a lawsuit hiding behind Jane Doe, and when they quickly realize that their attempt to make money is failing, they can walk away without consequences. The system did not work. The court must protect victims, of course, but with the same ethical responsibility, courts must protect the innocent from accusations without a shred of evidence. May the truth prevail for all victims and for those who have been falsely accused».
JAY-Z's attorney, Alex Spiro, stated to «Extra» that «the false lawsuit against JAY-Z, which should never have been filed, was dismissed with prejudice. Standing up against horrific and false accusations, Jay did what few can do—he stood his ground, never settled, never paid a dime, he won and cleared his name».
