Odell Beckham Jr. has finally expressed his support for his brother Cordell Beckham after he was brought up in a conversation in one of the episodes of Love Island USA.
The 31-year-old wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins took to social media to support his younger brother, a 22-year-old contestant on the reality show, through a series of Instagram Stories posted on Friday, July 12.
One of the stories showed an image of Cordell, 22, receiving a kiss on the cheek from his competitor Serena Paige, 24, with Odell urging his followers with a message: «Everyone, vote 🤗🫡🫡»
In the latest episode of Love Island USA, fans were asked to vote for their favorite couple in the villa. So the supportive older brother even added a link in his profile, urging fans to vote for the budding romance between Cordell and Serena. Cordell is one of the top contenders to win in the sixth season of the reality show, and with 18 million followers on Instagram and previous dramas that have made fans curious about Cordell’s brother’s opinion on the show, fans will definitely support him.
Cordell’s journey on the show has been quite smooth. He coupled up with Paige at the beginning of the season. He faced a serious obstacle when Paige decided to couple up with Daia McGee. After returning from Casa Amor, Paige and Cordell continued from where they left off, leading to Daia’s journey on the show coming to an end.
During the July 8 episode of the popular Peacock show, participants faced social media comments from viewers at home, and one comment accused Daia of admiring the football star on social media before getting involved with Cordell.
«I can’t stand Daia, especially after seeing tweets about how she admired comments from Odell Beckham Jr»., - wrote participant Leah Kateb. «She came into the villa with a plan, and Cordell, being a fool, believed her, throwing away all the moral principles he claimed he would adhere to before entering Casa».
Daia vehemently denied the user’s comments. «Are you serious? I have never done that in my life», - she said before breaking down. «I never. I swear to God. I’m just going to cry. This is such crap. It’s a lie. It’s really garbage».
She then stated in a confessional interview that she developed a genuine connection with Cordell and was not interested in who his family is. «I really like Cordell», - she explained. «I came here with sincere intentions towards him, and it was never based on anything about his brother. I just think it’s insane».
But it seems Daia is no longer the focus, as Odell seems to be on the same page as Cordell and Serena to win as a couple in this season 6
