Recently married Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey did not wait long and immediately responded to a stylist about their Dolce Gabanna wedding dress on social media after their wedding on June 29.

In a video posted on Instagram and TikTok this week by content creator Kennedy Bingham, she expressed: «I have been working on wedding dresses for four years, and I have never said this before — but I do not like this wedding dress… Olivia Culpo just got married, and this is a great example of how fashion is much more than what you see on the surface».

She added: «Everything surrounding the dress leaves a bitter taste… she says 'I didn’t want to look sexy', the second thing she says is that she wanted the dress to be as serious as she takes her marriage vows… she talked about it not just because she wanted something modest for herself, but because she was trying to impose the idea of how, in her opinion, all brides should look…»

The 32-year-old model revealed that she worked with Dolce and Gabanna on three looks for her special day, which was celebrated with family and friends. «I wanted it to be timeless, light, and for the dress to complement me, not dominate me. There is so much beauty and simplicity in this», - she told Vogue.

The video came as a shock to the former beauty pageant winner, and she commented on TikTok: «This is how mean you are. I hope no one ever tears you apart like this, because it is extremely hurtful. I love this dress, it was everything I wanted and even more».

The influencer responded and realized that Olivia chose to ignore the fact that she had talked about the designer’s «long history of homophobia and racism», - and instead focused on comments about her eyelashes. «So are we just not going to acknowledge how your words are perceived by other people or the history of the designers you support?» Kennedy wrote.

Her 28-year-old husband also joined the conversation on Instagram and replied to a user: «What evil you have put out there. I hope you can find joy and peace in the world, like my beautiful wife does».

Although Kennedy explained in the video that she likes the dress but does not like the underlying thought, she responded to NFL athlete: «@christianmccaffrey So to maliciously point out potential internal sexism behind her reasoning, your (in my opinion) patriarchal comment and the history of the designers she has worked with?»
