Father killed two children and committed suicide in California

A tragedy occurred in Northern California: a man allegedly killed his two children and then took his own life. According to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call was received on October 9 at 10:20 AM reporting two children in need of emergency medical assistance at a home on Old River Road in the Ukiah area.
People in the house decided to transport the children themselves to meet medical personnel. However, when the medics met them at the Mendocino County Office of Education, they found that the children, a 14-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, showed no signs of life and had no pulse. Despite attempts at resuscitation, both children were pronounced dead.
Upon inspecting the home, law enforcement found a 44-year-old man, identified as the father of the children. Preliminary reports suggest he killed the children and then committed suicide. The names of the father and the children have not been released. Autopsies have been scheduled to determine the official causes and circumstances of their deaths.
Mendocino County Sheriff Matt Kendall stated that the investigation is ongoing, with witness interviews and evidence collection currently taking place. At this time, the possible motive for the crime has not been disclosed, but authorities assure that there is no threat to the local community.
