After just one season on Prime Video, My Lady Jane has been canceled, Deadline reports. The historical fantasy series follows the character Lady Jane Grey in an alternative version of 16th century England, where Ehtians (people who can take on the form of animals) and ordinary people, known as Verities, coexist. As a cousin of Edward VI, Jane is next in line for the throne and is forced to marry Lord Guildford Dudley at the insistence of her mother.

After news of the show’s cancellation spread on social media, internet users expressed their opinions on Amazon’s decision to remove the show.
«In my opinion, My Lady Jane was (significantly) better than Bridgerton Season 3, and I am just shocked that people watch the latter for period drama and romance, but not the former!!!» wrote one user X, adding: «How can there be an audience for one and not the other?!»
Others also compared the series to the third season of Bridgerton, with another user writing: «people need to understand that even if Bridgerton has more streams, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the BEST show».
