Papa Essiedu is attracting significant attention for his upcoming role in the Harry Potter series on HBO.
On April 14, HBO announced the key casting for the highly anticipated adaptation, revealing that John Litgow will play Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer will take on the role of Minerva McGonagall, Essiedu will portray Severus Snape, and Nick Frost will bring to life Rubeus Hagrid. «We are thrilled to have such outstanding talent on board, and look forward to seeing them bring these beloved characters to life», - showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Milod said in a joint statement. Both are also executive producers of the series.
