Lupita Nyong’o remembers her late Marvel Cinematic Universe co-star and friend Chadwick Boseman. On the fourth anniversary of his death, the 41-year-old Oscar winner posted an emotional tribute on Instagram on Wednesday, August 28, including a black and white image of Chadwick and another photo of them smiling together.

In her caption, Lupita quoted an unknown speaker. Her post read: «'Grief never ends. But it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness or lack of faith. It is the price of love.' - unknown».

She concluded her caption by writing: «Remembering Chadwick Boseman. Forever».

Chadwick passed away on August 28, 2020, after a battle with colon cancer. He was 43 years old. The late star of «Black Panther» kept his condition private for many years.

Lupita worked with Chadwick on «Black Panther» and had previously made touching tributes to her late friend. A month after Chadwick’s death, the «Us» actress wrote a since-deleted post on Instagram about the actor.

«I write these words from a place of despair, to honor a man who had great hope», - Lupita began in her deleted caption. «It is hard to think and speak about my friend, Chadwick Boseman, in the past tense. It doesn’t make sense. The news of his passing is a gut punch every morning».

Acknowledging that «we are all mortal», - Lupita noted: «You meet in life some people who have an immortal energy, who seem to have existed before, who always seem to be where they should be — here! … who seem eternal … Chadwick was one of those people».

«Chadwick was a man who maximized his time and somehow managed not to rush», - she continued. «I didn’t know him for long, but he had a deep impact on me during that time. When we came together to shoot 'Black Panther,' I remember being struck by his quiet, powerful presence. He had no airs, but there was a higher frequency with which he seemed to operate. You felt that he was fully present and somehow fully informed about things in the distant future. I noticed that Chadwick never seemed to be in a hurry! He managed his time effortlessly».

Lupita concluded her message by writing that Chadwick «cared deeply about humanity, about black people, about his people».

The sequel to «Black Panther», - «Black Panther: Wakanda Forever», - is dedicated to Chadwick
