Hollywood mourns the late James Earl Jones. Known for his roles in «The Lion King» and the «Star Wars» franchise, the legend was also known for his television narrations. As most celebrities in their separate tributes to James claim, the star of «Field of Dreams» is honored for his contribution to the entertainment industry, as well as for his personality.

The creator of the «Star Wars» franchise tweeted a dedication to James, which read: «'You were right about me. Tell your sister you were right.' Goodbye, old friend».
According to a statement obtained by PEOPLE, Matthew recalled working alongside James in «The Lion King». Matthew voiced the role of Simba, while James voiced Mufasa.
«I was so lucky to have the opportunity to work with James Earl Jones», - the Broadway actor told the publication. «To have him as my father, my king! And to get to know him a little bit. We crossed paths with each other from time to time over the years, and I was always so happy to see him».
Matthew also noted that James «was a great listener».
«Not at all what you might imagine from that majestic, regal, beautiful voice», - he added. «His brilliant, scary, heart-wrenching performance in 'Fences' might be my favorite, but there are truly so many great performances in this long, magnificent career that it’s impossible to choose a favorite.
