In a statement to ABC News, Bill Cosby called Malcolm-Jamal a «great student» and said he was «very happy to work with him» on «The Cosby Show».

«He always knew his role», - Bill said. «He always knew his lines and always knew where to go».

Actress from «The Cosby Show» Vanessa Estelle Williams wrote on Instagram: «My scene partner, my friend, son, husband, father… the legacy left by @malcolmjamalwar. I am broken, as are many others! Rest in peace, dear brother!»

Tracee Ellis Ross honored her former colleague, writing on Instagram: «I love you, Malcolm. I first met you as Theo along with the rest of the world, and then you were my first TV husband. My heart is so sad. What an actor and friend you were: warm, tender, present, kind, thoughtful, deep, funny, elegant. You made the world brighter. Sending so much love to your family. I am so sorry for this unimaginable loss».

Cuba Gooding Jr., who worked with Malcolm-Jamal in the film «Tuskegee Airmen», - told People in a statement: «Malcolm was not only a talented actor, with whom I had the honor of playing in the movie 'Tuskegee Airmen,' as well as playing 'Ala Koolings' to my 'OJ' for Ryan Murphy, but more importantly, he was a dear friend and neighbor to me when I was just starting a family all those years ago.
