Catherine O’Hara has long cemented her legacy in Hollywood, and her fans and colleagues are paying tribute to the late 71-year-old actress. One of the most touching statements came from her co-star in «Home Alone», - Macaulay Culkin, whom Catherine honored at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2023.

Read the tributes from celebrities to Catherine as Hollywood reacts to the passing of the veteran actress.

«Mom. I thought we had time. I wanted more», - Macaulay wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post. «I wanted to sit next to you. I heard you. But I had so much more to say. I love you. See you later».

«Oh, genius, to be near you. Forever grateful», - Pedro captioned his Instagram post in honor of his late colleague from «The Last of Us». «My world is a little dimmer; this lucky world that had you will always keep you. Always. One of a kind #CatherineO'Hara».

«Oh, Catherine. You will be very, very missed», - Justin wrote alongside a photo of his late colleague’s chair from «Beetlejuice».

Melanie wrote a lengthy tribute on Instagram, starting with: «So grateful I got to tell her what she meant to me—how she inspired me, shaped my sense of humor and understanding of our work, that she was the pinnacle of greatness for me».

Next to a portrait of Catherine, Melanie continued: «I'm sure every actor she met told her similar things. She didn’t act like she had heard it a million times; she listened and accepted it with grace and immense kindness. Thank you @jasonreitman for inviting me to participate in the Film Independent LACMA reading, where I got to work with my hero and see her genius in action. It was incredible to witness her work and be in her presence. I will never forget a minute of it. That day, as well as on the day we crossed paths during the filming of 'Away We Go,' I saw how she was simply wonderful to every person she met, from the director to the assistants. When people say someone 'lit up the room,' that’s exactly what they mean».

«She was radiant; it was somehow otherworldly. Her talent was unique», - Melanie concluded. «There has never been anyone like her before, and there won’t be again. What a genius. What a beautiful person. My heart goes out to her family and dear friends who adored her».

Michael shared a photo of Catherine on his Instagram. In the caption, he wrote: «The phrase 'broken heart' doesn’t even begin to convey it. Catherine O’Hara was one of a kind. A rare light in this world, and her passing is felt with a weight I cannot fully express in words».

«She was not just a legendary artist, actor, and comedian», - Michael continued. «She was Canada’s ambassador in the truest sense: brilliant, fearless, deeply original, and full of humanity. She made the world laugh, but she also helped people feel seen. As an artist, she inspired me more than she will ever know. She set the standard for what it means to represent your country with excellence and grace, without losing warmth and humility».

Michael concluded his caption with: «My heart is broken for her family, her loved ones, and all who adored her, both here in Canada and around the world. If you are mourning this loss, you are not alone. We all hold a piece of this sorrow together. Rest in peace, Catherine. Thank you for everything»
