Natasha amassed nearly 200,000 followers on TikTok and over 36,000 on Instagram, where she shared snippets of her daily life and her journey with cancer. Her openness, humor, and honesty about living with an incurable illness set her apart, and she quickly became a recognizable voice in the #CancerTok community.

Natasha was first diagnosed in 2020 when doctors discovered a malignant tumor in her knee. At that time, her cancer was stage 3 synovial sarcoma, a rare form of soft tissue cancer. Despite treatment, the disease ultimately returned and spread to her lungs and other parts of her body by the end of 2021, progressing to stage 4.

Synovial sarcoma is a rare and aggressive cancer that typically develops in soft tissues near joints, most commonly in the hands, legs, or trunk. While it accounts for only about 1 out of 100 cancers, it most often affects young adults and teenagers. Because it is so uncommon, it is often misdiagnosed or detected late, making treatment more challenging. Symptoms may include swelling, pain, or a noticeable lump, and survival rates vary widely depending on when it is detected. Natasha used her platform to highlight the lack of information about this cancer and why more research is needed.

Natasha passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 28.

Tributes poured in from Natasha’s family, friends, and thousands of followers online. Supporters remembered her as someone who remained positive despite the circumstances, often reminding viewers to «find meaning in their own lives» and make the world a better place in any way they can. Her GoFundMe fundraiser, originally created to help with treatment costs, was redirected to honor her memory and support synovial sarcoma awareness. The overwhelming response underscored how many people Natasha touched with her strength, honesty, and hope
