Teri Garr passed away on October 29, 2024 after a decade-long battle with multiple sclerosis. The late actress was known for her comedic roles on screen and advocacy for the rights of people living with MS. After working alongside some of Hollywood’s most famous names in films like «Tootsie», - «Young Frankenstein», - and other projects, many former colleagues of Teri reacted to her death and expressed their tributes in her memory.

Hollywood Life magazine compiled all the famous tributes for Teri below.

Teri’s co-star in the film «Mr. Mom», - Michael Keaton, honored her by posting a touching post on Instagram. He included an image of the poster of their film and wrote: «This is the day I feared and knew would come. Forget how great an actress and comedian she was. She was a wonderful woman. Not only was it great to work with her, but just to be around her. And go back and watch her comedy work — she was magnificent! RIP girl».

Fans of the show «Friends» remember Teri’s role as Phoebe Buffay’s mother. Actress Lisa Kudrow reacted to her death in a statement to Entertainment Weekly, saying: «Teri Garr was a comedic genius who was and remains a huge influence on me, and I know I’m not alone in that. I am so happy and grateful to have been able to work with Teri Garr».

Steve Martin paid his tribute with a short and sweet message, posting a portrait of Teri on Twitter and writing: «Loved her so much».

Mel Brooks worked with Teri in the film «Young Frankenstein», - which he acknowledged in his tribute with an X.

David Letterman shared a past video on his Instagram where he interviewed Teri on Late Night with David Letterman.

I was happy to know her. She lifted everyone up, and I’m sad that she’s no longer with us».
