In September 2024, Maggie’s sons, Toby Stevens and Chris Larkin, announced that she had passed away at the age of 89. The cause of her death is unknown, but the late actress had previously battled breast cancer and Graves' disease. Maggie played the role of Professor Minerva McGonagall.
