Patrick Clancy spoke about how he coped with the trauma after his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, killed their three children in January 2023. In an interview that aired on September 20 on «60 Minutes», - Patrick noted that the EMDR method (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helped him «the most».

Lindsay did not deny killing the children, but her defense argued that she should not be held criminally responsible due to postpartum psychosis. The prosecution insisted that she was aware of her actions.
The jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict, recording 11 votes «for» and 1 «against». The prosecution has not yet announced whether they plan to retry the case.
Patrick also shared details about his painful experience, including a wish he expressed shortly after Lindsay strangled their children. He recalled hoping that Callan would survive and that he would be willing to raise him, telling him about his brother and sister.
