Pedro Pascal has just unveiled the first look at the cast of the movie «Fantastic Four», - and fans can’t wait for the long-awaited film to hit theaters. «Our first mission», - the 49-year-old actor from «The Last of Us» captioned a carousel post on Instagram on Thursday, July 25.
The upcoming action film stars Pedro as Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic, alongside Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn from «Stranger Things» as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach from «The Punisher» as Ben Grimm/Thing. Actress Julia Garner plays the Silver Surfer, and Paul Walter Hauser has been cast in an undisclosed role.
«Fantastic Four» is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
Earlier this year, Pedro enthusiastically told Entertainment Tonight how «excited» he was to be part of the film reboot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
«I can tell you, I’m beyond excited! There’s nothing more thrilling than being in such a cast as Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joe Quinn, and our director, Matt Shakman. Being invited into such a family is incredible, and we all just want to do everything we can and share it with the world», - said the «Game of Thrones» actor.
In addition to working on the upcoming film, Pedro is gearing up for the release of his other movie «Gladiator II», - which will hit theaters on November 22. He plays the role of Roman general Marcus Acacius alongside actor Paul Mescal.
During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Pedro joked about how strong his partner was, as they had to work on fight scenes together.
«I call him Brick Wall Paul», - Pedro said. «He's gotten so strong. I’d rather be thrown off a building than fight him again. To go up against someone so prepared, talented, and much younger… Besides Ridley Scott being a genius, Paul is a big reason why I would go through such an experience with my poor body»
