Pete Davidson never hides anything, including some personal revelations. During a comedy show in Atlantic City over the weekend as part of his current tour, the 30-year-old «Saturday Night Live» alum revealed which drug he is not planning to quit: marijuana.
«I can’t quit [weed] yet. That’s all I got left», - Pete said, as reported by Daily Mail. «I've done coke, ketamine, and all those pills and all that s***. I just have weed left, so it’s almost over, but I’m holding on a little longer».
The «King of Staten Island» star has been open about his struggles with drug use, including his experience with ketamine. He previously shared that he used ketamine daily for four years before seeking help. During his 2023 comedy show, Pete described the effects of the drug as «magical», - but later acknowledged the consequences of his addiction.
In addition to drug use, Pete also opened up about a car accident he was involved in last year. In 2023, he crashed his car into a house in Beverly Hills. As a result, he was sentenced to community service and had to take a safe driving course.
«I saw the house and thought, 'I don’t think you can die if you crash into a house,'» Pete joked during his recent comedy show in Atlantic City. «Usually in sitcoms they just go through it. So I swerved and headed for the house, and I really hit the garage well. Even at my worst, I’m pretty accurate».
Recalling the collision, the comedian admitted he was «very scared» when talking to the police.
«A cop came, he was all annoyed because I hit a structure», - Pete continued, according to Daily Mail. «I was panicking and had to calm myself down».
After receiving his community service sentence, Pete joked, «I said, 'Can I just do a day in jail? It seems like six weeks of work.'»
Fortunately for him, Pete’s sister, Casey Davidson, «hooked him up» with a job in Neurosurgery at Lenox Hill in New York, where he shadowed a neurosurgeon conducting experimental cancer treatment surgeries.
«I just find it funny — not what he’s doing — just that I’m there», - Pete said. «I find it funny that I can watch this great prestigious guy because usually to do something like that, you have to work really hard or be a doctor yourself. … The other four people that were there, that were shadowing him, were four doctors in the program, and they all acted like they won some sort of lottery».
Despite making a few jokes about the experience, Pete added that he is «very humbled by these patients».
«It was very humbling to be among them», - said the Staten Island native. «I always feel sorry and all that, and I was very grateful for my life. I couldn’t imagine being one of those patients».
