There is never a shortage of drama in Survivor. From betrayals to alliances, the series can only name one sole survivor, and season 48 ended on a strong note for one contestant. So, who won this season?
Hollywood Life reveals the winner of the 48th season of Survivor below.
The five finalists of the 48th season of Survivor were Eva Erickson, Kyle Fraser, Mitch Guerra, Joe Hunter, and Camilla Cartiguesu.
Kyle Fraser won the 48th season of Survivor. The lawyer did not cross the finish line without overcoming obstacles, including the revelation of his secret partnership with Camilla.
During an interview with Parade, published in February 2025, Kyle said he did not want viewers to perceive him as an «alpha male».
«I really think that sometimes I can be a leader in real life. But I wouldn’t always take on that role, and wouldn’t want to be like that here», - Kyle explained to the publication. «I think something I would like people to see in me is a friend».
Originally from Virginia, he also noted that his «motto» throughout the show would be to put «people first».
«I want to connect with people, to then build a foundation for the game», - Kyle noted. «I think we see too many strategic players who don’t have a social foundation to go far in this game».
As for his inspiration to join Survivor, Kyle recalled his past job as a teacher at a correctional facility.
«But in the summer, I taught at a correctional facility», - he revealed. «It was a charter school attached to the correctional facility, and they could earn credits and money so that when they got out, they had something to go into the world with. And it was a really tough experience. Learning when you’re in a correctional facility, I couldn’t imagine. Learning was hard enough for me when I was a kid in school».
Kyle added that «trying to connect with [these students], when they’re trying to figure out, 'When am I getting out of prison?' was really tough. But I found a way to do it in different circumstances».
«Some days were really, really tough and painful, seeing what they were going through, trying to connect with them. But you have to keep moving forward», - he concluded. «And I feel like I need to have that same mentality in Survivor».
The winner of Survivor receives a grand prize of 1 million dollars. The runner-up receives a cash prize of 100,000 dollars
