Authorities reported that Carter was driving his 2026 Tesla sedan southbound on U.S. Route 21 after 11 PM on April 25, 2026. He veered off the road, crashed into a pole and a fence, and then rolled over, according to TMZ. The Colleton County coroner told the publication that Carter was the only occupant in the vehicle and that he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Carter was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The coroner informed TMZ that the cause of Carter’s death was injuries sustained in the accident. His death was ruled an accident
