The beginning and end of the MTV Video Music Awards 2025 ceremony were at a high level! The most recognizable names in the music industry in genres such as pop, rock, hip-hop, and others gathered on stage to perform, present awards, and accept them themselves — and we have compiled a full list of winners right here. In addition to the annual VMA categories, including Best Album, Video of the Year, and Best Group, MTV also awarded special prizes to individual artists.
The first recipient of the Latin Icon Award was Ricky Martin, who dedicated his victory to his fans and noted how long he has been working in show business.
«Thank you so much, because it’s been 40 years. I started when I was a little kid, and we’re still here», - said the performer of the hit «Livin' la vida loca» in his speech. «We just want to unite countries, we just want to break down boundaries. We just want to keep music alive».
MTV also awarded the Rock the Bells Visionary Award to Busta Rhymes and the highly esteemed Video Vanguard Award to Mariah Carey. Ariana Grande presented her with the trophy and even bowed to her on stage.
