He truly believed that the fourth film was «the perfect place to end the saga». Fortunately, work on the fifth installment has been initiated.
Stanton told the publication that, in his opinion, it would be possible to create two additional «Toy Story» films in just two months of brainstorming.
«That's why I think this could continue», - Stanton said.
According to the director, two more films could emerge, but it depends on the storyline and the actors' willingness to return to their roles. In an interview with EW, the voice actor and co-writer noted that he would work on new Pixar films until he finds himself «in a rocking chair somewhere». «And I will always have a strong opinion about it», - he added.
