Less than a week after his death at the age of 27, Presley Gerber, son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, was cremated. According to the death certificate obtained by TMZ, the cremation took place at the Rose Family funeral home following an autopsy and the release of the body to the family.
Presley Gerber passed away on Sunday at a rehabilitation center in Santa Monica, reportedly from an overdose. TMZ reports that he was found dead in his bedroom, but his body was not on the bed. The cause of death has not yet been determined, as toxicology results are pending and may take several weeks.
According to TMZ, Gerber had a sobriety coach who actively assisted him in the months leading up to his death. Presley’s struggles with addiction and mental health were well known. His last public appearance was at the We Are ENOUGH x Aviator Nation event in Malibu in June, where he participated in a panel discussion on mental health. Presley spoke about how he had stopped taking medication and learned to distinguish his inner voices from his true self. He noted, «I felt the most free when I was finally honest with myself». He also offered advice to others during tough days: «Move, no matter how you feel. Get outside. Get some sun. If you don’t want to move, just lie on the grass».
