Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first joint public appearance since returning to the UK in August. The couple visited Nottingham, the same city where they first stepped out together in 2017.

Arriving on Thursday, Harry and Meghan greeted around 100 people on their way to the Community Recording Studio (CRS). Markle received balloons and bouquets of flowers while interacting with the crowd. According to People, Meghan spoke with students and told one fan, «It's nice to be back here». When another showed her a photo from her visit in 2017, she replied, «That's so special».

Meghan was dressed in outfits by British designers, including a turtleneck, coat, and earrings from Joseph, as well as a skirt from The Fold London. She completed the look with shoes by Jennifer Chamandi.

The Community Recording Studio was founded in 1991. According to the charity, it provides professional recording equipment to young people from one of the most disadvantaged areas in England and does not charge them for its services. The project, which started as a three-year initiative, continues to operate successfully.

As reported by People, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex met with musician, poet, and youth mentor Jah Diggy, who claims that CRS helped him move away from gang involvement in his childhood. They also attended an acting workshop, and Meghan participated in a bracelet-making workshop with girls.

Trevor Rose, the CEO and co-founder of CRS, noted, «Harry has been here several times—we're used to his visits, and they always have a big impact. But the fact that he wanted to bring Meghan and hear that she wants to learn more about what we do is incredible».

After their visit to CRS, Harry and Meghan headed to Epic Partners, a charity that aims to inspire and support people in reaching their full potential through sports events, youth programs, and personalized mentoring. CRS and Epic were part of a Royal Foundation initiative called Full Effect, which operated from 2013 to 2020. Harry and Meghan were previously part of the Royal Foundation alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton but left it in 2019 to create their own charity, while William and Kate continued their work with the Royal Foundation.

On the same day, Harry and Meghan also planned to visit a food bank and the community action group Himmah Hub.
