Prince Harry is set to release his revolutionary memoir «Spare» for the second time, this time in a softcover edition.

Publishing house Penguin Random House, the partner of the 39-year-old prince, announced the news on Tuesday, August 27, stating that the memoir will be reissued later this year. «The new edition will have the same cover as the hardcover edition, with a new packaging design, while the content of the book will remain unchanged», - the statement said.

The book by the Duke of Sussex tells his life story, including key moments such as the death of his mother, Princess Diana, and how he coped during that difficult period in his childhood. As the book’s description reads: «It was one of the most poignant images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow — and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry might have been thinking and feeling — and how their lives unfolded from that moment. For Harry, this is the story he finally tells».

His memoir covers everything from his time at military school to his relationship with his current wife, Meghan Markle, in Buckingham Palace, offering his perspective and his side of the story about his famous family.

Before the book’s release, Harry shared with Us Weekly that he did not write this memoir as a «Prince» he was «born» or known as, but as a «person» he has become. He added: «I've worn many hats over the years, literally and metaphorically, and my hope is that by telling my story — the highs and lows, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think».

While Harry aimed to share his vision of how things were in his royal family, he did not intend to accuse anyone, but rather to speak his truth. He told People in January 2023: «I don’t want to tell anyone what to think about it, and that includes my family. This book and its truth are largely a continuation of my own journey to mental health. It’s an honest account of my life — the good, the bad, and everything in between».

Readers can expect the softcover edition of «Spare» to be reissued on October 22, without any additional chapters
