Princess Kate is recovering, as reported by a friend close to the royal family. In a new report by Vanity Fair, an unnamed source, who the publication noted is a friend of Kate’s, stated that the 42-year-old woman «feels much better» since being diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer earlier this year.
«It was a huge relief that she is responding well to the treatment and actually feels much better», - said the friend to the publication in a report published on Tuesday, May 28. «Of course, it was a very difficult and worrying time».
The friend added that Kate’s husband, Prince William, and her entire family «support her», including «her parents, sister, and brother».
Earlier this month, Daily Mail reported that Kate is not expected to resume her public duties until the end of this year. However, according to PEOPLE magazine, Kate was recently seen out with her family and running errands herself.
The health of the Princess of Wales has become a serious issue worldwide. In January, she underwent a «planned» operation in the abdominal cavity. Although the palace claimed it was not a problem, Kate later admitted that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
«It has been incredibly difficult couple of months for our entire family, but I had a fantastic medical team who took great care of me, for which I am very grateful», - explained Kate in a video message posted on social media in March.
The royal figure continued that she is taking time to process her diagnosis and explaining to her children that she «will be okay». Kate and William, 41, are raising children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
«As I told them, I feel good and get stronger every day, focusing on things that will help me recover, in my mind, body, and spirit», - she added at the time.
After Kate explained her condition to the world, she and William remained out of the public eye for several weeks until he returned to his public duties in the spring. Earlier this month, the Prince of Wales was asked by hospital administrator Tracy Smith about Kate’s health, as shown in a video posted by Sky News.
«She is feeling good», - William replied, adding: «Thank you»
