In the past, professional dancer and actor Orlando Lucas performed with Fresh Groove Productions in Vancouver, British Columbia, and at the Apollo Theater in New York. Now Orlando has taken his dance moves to the online space, creating viral choreographies and collaborating with other influential personalities on Tiktok (where Orlando has over 1.8 million followers) and Instagram (where he has over 163,000 followers).

Aside from working on viral choreographies, Vancouver-born Orlando has appeared in many films and TV series since childhood. He played Ryan Ingram, the son of Liz Ingram (played by Viola Davis) and John Ingram (played by Vincent D’Onofrio) in the Netflix movie «Unforgiven» (2021). He was invited to the movie premiere red carpet in Hollywood. He has also appeared in series such as «Altered Carbon», - «iZombie», - «Big Sky River», - and «Zoo», - as well as being a guest on «House».

Orlando has also voiced many roles in animated series, including «Starbeam», - «Void», - and «Powerbirds».

However, it is in dance where Orlando’s true skills shine, and it is his movements that his social media followers come to watch. Mastering various street styles, Orlando has created and performed routines for hip-hop, afro, breaking, popping, litefeet, house, and freestyle. He moves on the international stage with raw, unstoppable energy, with grace in his footwork.

He spent five years with Fresh Groove Productions (2019−2024), where he trained under Mark Dogillo and Travis Lima, twice becoming a finalist at Hop Hop International. (He won bronze in 2022 and fifth place in the world in 2023.) In 2020, he moved to New York, where he performed as a backup dancer at the Apollo Theater during Capri Everitt’s performance.

After getting acquainted with dance in high-intensity live shows, Orlando joined the Identity Dance Company (IDCO) from New Zealand in 2024, where he trained and performed with the internationally acclaimed dance group. The group has won numerous awards at international dance competitions, including a gold medal at the Pacific Qualifiers dance world championship and a gold medal at the Upgrade Australia competition. They are set to represent New Zealand at the upcoming World Dance Championship final, which will take place in Auckland from April 14 to 19. Last year, Orlando also performed at the opening and closing of the World of Dance final and at Flip the Switch in Los Angeles.

«Dance has always been a part of me», - shared Orlando. His work with IDCO and performances around the world have allowed him to learn from experienced dancers and choreographers such as Riley Bourne, Kirsten Dodgen, and Joshua Cesan. Now he wants to share what he has learned with other dancers — those he can inspire on Instagram and Tiktok, as well as with his own tight-knit team.

Recently, Orlando assembled his own group of nine dancers to create Crew 24, which won gold at the Pacific Qualifiers and advanced to the World Dance Championship final, which will take place this month in Auckland. He is also a dance ambassador for the online dance school Shluv Academy with Michael Lee. On TikTok, he has created numerous choreographies that have been copied and tagged by millions of other dancers.

With the upcoming start of the World Dance Championship, Orlando Lucas is preparing to take the stage again with the other dancers of Crew 24, representing Canada and New Zealand at one of the largest dance competitions in the world. After dancing from screen to stage and social media, Orlando hopes to once again captivate the imagination of dance group judges and his millions of social media followers
