Missing Sudiksha Konanki: new details and search in the Dominican Republic

20-year-old Sudiksha Konanki disappeared on March 6 while on a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Authorities continue the search, but with limited clues and reports that she may have entered the ocean before disappearing, it remains unclear whether she is still alive.
According to CNN, Konanki was last seen on video around 4:15 am local time on March 6. She was seen with seven other people entering the beach near the Riu Republica hotel. Her disappearance was reported to the Dominican National Police the following day, March 7, after a call from the US Embassy in Santo Domingo. The last known person who allegedly saw Konanki alive was a man named Joshua Ribb, who was named as a «person of interest» but not a suspect in this case.

While the final determination of such a statement is made by the authorities of the Dominican Republic, we will support the Konanki family in every possible way, continuing to consider the evidence and information provided to us during this investigation»
