Costco stores will be open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time on New Year’s Eve, according to TODAY. All Costco stores will be closed on New Year’s Day.

Most Walmart stores will be open at regular hours on New Year’s Eve, according to TODAY. However, some locations may have different hours.

On New Year’s Day, a Walmart representative told TODAY that «all stores will operate at regular hours». However, the publication advised shoppers to double-check the hours of their local Walmart to see if it is open for limited hours on this federal holiday
